Whole Body Cryotherapy

Whole Body Cryotherapy uses ultra cold temperatures to provide quick, powerful body recovery.  The Cryo chamber surrounds your body, up to the neck, with extremely cold (up to -220°F) nitrogen gas.  This dry chill allows you to experience a cooling sensation while naturally triggering your body’s most powerful healing and wellness mechanisms.

The significant drop in temperature causes your body to activate a CNS (Central Nervous System) response that pushes blood to your core (for function of protecting internal organs) where it then recirculates.

  • Reduce pain, swelling and inflammation
  • Speed muscle recovery time
  • Boost performance, energy and mood
  • Increase collagen production, helps treat skin conditions
  • Strengthen immune system
  • Burns calories
  • Athletic recovery

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?  The most important safety precaution is for you and your clothing to be dry upon entering the chamber.  Because of the very low temperatures, everyone must wear cotton or wool foot and hand protection plus either cotton underwear or a bathing suit to protect intimate body parts.  All other clothing is removed.  Jewelry and any other metal must be removed prior to entering the chamber.  We will provide a robe, hand & foot protection for you.

HOW LONG IS A SESSION?  All clients receive a short orientation and fill out our waiver form beforehand.  The actual chamber time is 2-3 minutes.

HOW SOON CAN I EXPECT RESULTS FROM A CRYOTHERAPY TREATMENT?  After completing your first treatment your body will release endorphins, which are hormones that make you feel good and energetic.  Depending on your physical condition, you may feel immediate relief from joint and muscle pain, improved energy, and increased flexibility that will last for several hours or even days.

IS IT SAFE TO GET THAT COLD?  Yes, during the 3 minute session your skin’s temperature will drop but your core temperature will remain at 98.6°, its natural state.

DO I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING SPECIFIC AFTER MY SESSION?  No, but hydrating is always a good idea.

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD AVOID AFTER MY SESSION?  No, there is nothing that you need to avoid after your session.
